Blog Moving

Enjoying Life is a Matter of Balance....

That is the reason for a change. The Serendipity blogging software worked, but I was never completely satisfied with it.

So along with millions of other bloggers, the move was made to Google's Blogger software.

Head over to the Wandrin's blog at Blogger and bookmark it or subscribe to it with RSS.

I understand why you are making the change, although I think your website has always looked great and was user friendly to use. I look forward to the new site but hope the older one will always be available to use and refer back to.

Thanks for the compliment. The entries on the old blog will remain intact -- as long as I keep paying the rent for hosting the my site. From the "blogger" site, there will be pointers to this site.

Lloyd, I've got to believe you've thought about exporting/importing the previous entries into the new blog. I just brought almost two years of old entries from a wordpress blog (hosted by Yahoo) over to Blogger. But maybe it's not that easy with serendipity???

Yup. I certainly thought about migrating previous blog entries to Blogger. However, I've dealt with computer software far too long (mid 1960s) to know that a "conversion" is never easy. There is always something that doesn't translate. (Probably more true with Serendipity since it isn't as popular.) As long as I continue to pay the rent for hosting www.wandrin.us, the historical blogs will be there.
